Pros

Great curriculum, very attentive and caring management, the kids are amazing although some are very bus, the people who have worked there have worked for a very long time so you know it's very connected! Caring environment!

Cons

Can get stressful and overwhelming, but that is just overall any childcare industry you work at. Pay can be higher.

Pros

I loved being able to work with kids, and families, to support children's developmental growth and build relationships with staff and our families.

Cons

The hours are long and grueling. There is very little respect or good opportunity for growth. No work life balance. Pay is terrible for the amount of work and stress you endure.

Pros

Being able to teach and impact children Coworkers Benifits Weekends and Holidays off Holiday pay Discounts for staff children

Cons

You are expected to do and put up with A LOT, and and aren’t compensated with a decent amount of pay for it. They try to start you out at minim wage and no over time and expect you to deal with children who have no self control or regards for other people. They spit, they hit, they scream, there was a 3 year old that pulled one of my coworkers hair out and nothing was done. The same child bullied other children multiple times. He bit another child in the face so hard that when it happened at around 10am, the mark was still clearly visible when the child went home at around 5pm (that family was outraged and disenrolled) and rightfully so since two days prior their child was scratched all in the face by the same child. This child has sat on top of other children and has tried to jam his thumbs in their eyes. Said child has also smacked teachers and even with poop in his hands on occasions. And nothing is done expect “a talk with mom” when an action plan should have definitely been enforced and the child has been kicked out. This is a terrible corporation. They only care about filling the classrooms to max capacity and care nothing about the well being of their employees. You’re expected to follow a tight and strict curriculum and focus on newsletters and display boards and take lots of pictures for these boards and make these boards stand out, but you only get to work on them at nap, and aren’t allowed any time extra because they don’t to pay over time. Also, the time spent on making sure “evidence of learning” is done leaves little time to actually enjoy and interact with the children. It is a very stressful place to work. Even the Directors and Assistant Directors are stressed because the people above them are riding their backs really hard. And it all trickles down to the teachers who should not be stressed at all so that they can focus on what’s SUPPOSED to be important... the children!
