Pros

Flexibility with schedules, cheap childcare benefits (only this one benefit is good though)

Cons

Not passionate about education because they don’t even have a Training and Development department. They are not passionate about supporting new parent employees because you have to elect and pay for maternity leave, they won’t pay for it. Strong layoff culture regardless of your job. Even the executives are regularly laid off (everyone but the ceo is at risk).

Pros

Decent work/life balance Decent benefits Great if you love kids

Cons

Always short on staff Hardly ever get 40 hours a week When you ask for days off you will get asked to come in You need to be beyond flexible and ready to bend over backwards Clearly ran by a major corporation that only cares about their bottom line Kids are not always placed in safe situations when we have to cut back on employee hours in order to save money. Often times there are 3 year olds with kids as old as 12 years old in the same room with one adult.

A mismanaged MESS

Pros

None. Unless you have kid, discounted child care. But most employees only place their kids so they can monitor them. The curriculum & “teachers” are a joke. Kindercare will hire anyone with a degree.

Cons

Directors and assistant directors do what’s necessary to save THEIR jobs. They don’t care about teacher concerns. They make teachers clean the classroom, take inventory of every single item - more work here and less pay than what even the WORST school districts offer. High turnover. Teachers and directors quit constantly. You are told not to discipline rich, bratty kids , & their equally bratty parents are always right. ENROLLMENT = MONEY. Everything is more important than the teachers. The fact that Teachers coming from (public schools) are concerned about safety and instruction standard should be ALARMING
