Pros

Got to be a positive impact on kids.

Cons

Where do I even start......... First off they over enroll because they are all about money rather then quality of care. Second since they over enroll they are always shuffling kids and teachers around all the time sending them to different classrooms so they can maintain the ratios, you are lucky if you are in a classroom for 5 mins. Third since they over enroll and they constantly shuffle kids and teachers around there is no consistency which makes for really bad behaviors. Fourth there are hardly any days off besides Saturdays and Sundays and the given ones like Christmas and thanksgiving. Fifth HIGH staff turn over rates when I first started out of a staff of 22, 19 of us had been there a year or less. I for about a year and a half and then came back and same thing out of a staff of 20, there where only 5 people that where there before so 15 new staff. And Sixth reason don’t ever schedule a drs appointment I have had to cancel multiple drs appointments, when I got approved to leave early for drs appointments weeks in advance I remind them day of and they say we will see what we can do! And they never got me out in time.

We are sorry to hear about your experience with us. KinderCare is committed to delivering high-quality education programs and excellent care for children, and in practice that means creating positive work environments to support teachers to do their best work. We're in the process of implementing new recruiting and training methods, which should ease any issues of staffing and scheduling. We also do not have the practice of moving teachers between classrooms during the pandemic. Your health and wellbeing is very important to us, and you should never have to choose between the two. Thank you for your feedback, as it helps us know where to focus our efforts and grow.

Pros

Love working with the kids!!!!

Cons

Horrible management with no communication or care for workers worries! Pay is barely minimum wage with little to no raises. Hours being cut and never allowed to hit 40 hrs a week. Unneeded stress due to incompetence

Pros

* Pay slightly higher than private schools * insurance

Cons

* kids shuffled from classroom to classroom to maintain ratios * kids being moved up constantly through the year based on birthdays, not readiness or school year schedule to allow room for more new enrollments *Curriculum is canned and outdated and has NO social emotional component *Teachers are expected to do a great deal of documentation with no planning time offered *no support for children's behavior issues, leaving staff and other students to take the brunt of the physical violence *no time off, we're only closed for New Year's Day, Christmas day and Thanksgiving. PTO policy is a joke *the food makes prison food look like fine dining.....the prisoners probably get bigger portions *no custodians despite being a million dollar corporation, teachers are expected to mop, vacuum, and deep clean their classrooms daily *high turnover and callout rate due to above issues

Thank you for your feedback. We are upset to hear about the experience you describe. That does not sound like the values KinderCare seeks to uphold -- where People, Education, and Health and Safety are at the core of everything we do. Additionally, we have several programs internally to help. If you have time to speak on this further, please reach out to KinderCareJobs@kc-education.com and we can get you connected to someone.
