Business Services directors are too busy trying to undermine each other that the goal rarely gets achieved in the time it should or on budget. Support staff are treated unfairly to fee staff such as certain ‘firm wide’ policies not accessible to support staff - wfh. In most support teams you only get promoted if you are a ‘yes’ person and so disregard core values by trampling over others (probably learnt from your director). Managing partner has no idea what goes on in support teams and how staff are treated as directors talk a good talk. Overtime rarely paid even though in contract (unless you are in finance and you can make double your salary this way).

Abysmal management and no aknowlegement or praise of good work. Strange obsession with hunting for mistakes by management. No progression for junior staff unless you have friends or family within the company or can withstand a sideways promotion doing the same monotonous accounts for dummies data input tasks. Communistic labour with no incentive to work hard as you will never be praised or rewarded and your line manager is on YouTube next to you. Plus no one is looking at the data anyway. Don’t waste your time working hard and trying to earn a promotion, just enjoy it for what it is, doss.
