Pros

Office locations are very conveniently situated. Once a week, food is brought in. On Fridays they have drinks at the office.

Cons

People deserve to love their job, to grow personally and professionally in their work, and to be compensated fairly for their efforts. The conditions at Added Value make that difficult, driven by a combination of external circumstances, some poor leadership priorities, and a track record of inability to cultivate and retain talent. Budgets seem to be an issue. Pay is low compared to market rates, especially for experienced roles. Raises across the organization happen with great irregularity, and salaries aren’t normally adjusted for inflation year over year, so most years the value of your salary literally decreases. They offer the standard benefits you’d expect to get from a major employer: vision, dental, health coverage, life insurance, etc. They also give you 401K matching. But they only match once a year, where many companies match per paycheck or per month. It looks like the business is hyper-focused on efficiency. It’s been taking its toll on teams for years. Projects run lean. You end up working long hours on your own to get things done, which is too bad since good insight generation benefits from collaboration. Juniors don’t get as much oversight and support as they desire. And more senior staff have to jump between projects because there aren’t enough mid-level staff to cover or collaborate with the juniors. With emphases where they are, there’s not enough structured mentorship: knowing where people’s aspirations are, and giving them the resources and guidance to get where they want to be. Between that and the lack of room for growth in the company, over time, it can impact morale among employees, which speaks to my original point above about loving your work.

Pros

-Free hot chocolate -training provided -student friendly environment -pay is good for students

Cons

-The hot chocolate tastes like dirt -your training "WILL NOT" prepare you for the job, operating systems and how draining your job will be. -micromanagement on every detail of your work, from the pace of your speech,to the length of your toilet breaks, you are constantly monitored and treated as a number/value not a human being. -management,will look down on you as though you are worthless and will give you little respect, as again you are a number/value not a human being. -0 hour contract leaves very little ability to plan your week and form commitments due to the inability to know your shifts until a week in advance, sometimes giving you 2 days notice of your next shift. -during "flash" surveys,in which a company needs an agreed amount of completed surveys, you are given very high strike rates to achieve and if you are not achieving your strike rates you will be penalised on the spot, being asked to "beg" was an instruction given to improve it. -the atmosphere is bleak, there is a lack of enthusiasm and to be brutally honest it feels like a place where potential comes to die.

Pros

good learning environment, helpful co workers, reputed clients, interesting work, responsibilities are given very early after joining, if somebody is really into MR & doesn't mind giving up personal life then this is the place to be(provided he/she has excellent survival skills)

Cons

no work life balance, average working hours per day can range from 12-18, not to mention that you are expected to work on weekends as well, increments are minimal & salary is peanuts as compared to the amount of efforts you are expected to put in, HR policies are non existent thanks to the senior management which treats the employees like school children/ daily wage earners
