Pros

JCI encourages personal and professional growth- if a promotion or lateral move opportunity is available within the organization, internal candidates are seriously considered. JCI empowers its employees to pursue opportunities within the organization- and to reach out above and beyond one's own job description to accomplish tasks in the best way possible.

Cons

As with any large, multi functional, multi-location organization, it takes a little extra effort/digging to determine who would be the appropriate point of contact for questions and assistance...but someone will always point you in the right direction to find the answer!

Pros

JCI is a solid company with a long history of excellent growth, innovation, and stability. JCI has a distinguished past, beginning with its foundation in the late 1800s by Prof. Warren Johnson, inventor of the thermostat. JCI is well positioned for the future with its involvement in batteries for hybrid cars, automation of green buildings and energy reduction programs, and emphasis on sustainability. It has a diverse workforce, taking diversity very seriously. It also has a terrific set of core values and its senior management is stable with a solid vision of where they want to take the company in the future. It has excellent benefits, competitive salary, a good 401K plan, and its stock has out-performed the market and has split several times over the last 20 years.

Cons

JCI is a fairly conservative company. As such, it is slower to adapt to evolving workplace concepts such as flexibility in working hours, dress, tele-commuting, hiring of partially retired seniors, and so on.

Pros

the pay is o.k. for the area.

Cons

They do not care about their employees at all. Their only concern is how much money they make. If they have to injure you to make money that is what they will do. As an employee you are required to work as long and as hard as they say. You are the last thing they care about. I still work at JCI but I would not recomed it to anyone. They are trying to import one more thing from China, SWEAT SHOPS!!!
