Pros

Flight Benefits and location of the office

Cons

Everything other than flight benefits. The culture in the Salt Lake office is horrible. I worked there for over 11 years and it was 11 years too long. The culture preaches "we are a family" yet when it comes down to it, they don't have your back. I watched them turn on people time and time again. It is mainly run by a bunch of uneducated women who don't know the first thing about business outside of JetBlue because they were all bred from with in the organization. It's like permanently being in high school. They smile to your face yet organize behind your back. Don't even get me started on the work life balance. There is none. They expect you to give them everything you have. Between mandatory overtime and activities outside of work hours there is a huge commitment that if broken you will be penalized.

Pros

Flight benefits....umm...the fact that's the office is in the Long Island City.

Cons

The company is alright but certain divisions are so people-favored, clique-up, petty and high school-ish in the way they operate. Myself, an intern, and another do nowhere near the same amount of work, but it looks like he’s favored among the women of the team. Even MY crewleader looks like she would have have him as a mentoree. Maybe because he’s a gossiping male with female tendencies? Who knows? Anyway, the recognition is low (unless you suck up to management), the amount of gossip that goes around is unfathomable, the managers really don’t care about the work you do because they never frequently check their emails to acknowledge. This department calls itself the “face of the company”? Must be a face post-car wreck. Basically, if you’re an intern, you’re a slave. You also have no privacy AT ALL. The few people I like here come up to my desk to have convos and i hear the breathing and feel eyes peering at you. Nosy idiots. Mid-year reviews are rude and pointless because they just highlight minor errors and make them larger than they are. And I won’t get started on the high turnover, high corporate politics and high percentage of underpaid employees. What a nightmare. Flight benefits are not worth the high school-based culture of this airline.
