Pros

I love my job and work with a great bunch of people in my work group.

Cons

Greedy Management, No accountability when something goes wrong. Medical Insurance is the worst among our peers. Upper Management continues to lie and make false promises.

Pros

Flight benefits are great when you can use them. Some of my co-workers were terrific.

Cons

Jetblue offers 0 days of paid maternity or paternity leave. I donated a PTO day to a coworker so that she could extend her leave. It is disturbing that this is the policy. In my 5 years at the company I can count on one hand the number of black employees in the controller group who were promoted. During that time there were no black employees promoted to or hired as managers in Finance. On the flip side if you're a good looking white kid in FP&A you can move from analyst to Manager in a few years. Pay is embarrassingly low compared to companies of comparable size. A former CFO stated that Jetblue employees could make more money working in Manhattan, but the culture makes working at Jetblue worth it. He made over three million that year, and left shortly thereafter for a bigger pay day. Most of the people who worked in finance during my tenure have followed suit.

Pros

Easier to gain seniority than most airlines because of company size. Flight benefits are great and pay is rough at first but there is potential to make good money after 5 plus years of service. Workgroup is amazing and you the perks of layovers and different destinations are nice.

Cons

Company has lost all of their core values they teach you in training. They overwork employees to the point of fatigue, extended into up to 18 hour shifts that leave employees sometimes with just few or no hours of rest. Learn to eat cold food since access to microwave at times even food is complicated and if you attempt to get food between flights and it delays boarding well prepare to be disciplined. Now that your under rested and starving try to not to make any mistakes on the job. Remember Caring and Safety are 2 of their core values. Integrity is expected from you but it wont be their priority, youll learn that along the way and dont forget to have fun. Just not too much fun you dont want to get reported or written up.
