The team will cause a rift if things are not done your way. The manager is an absolute psycho, spineless money seeking human-being. Even if you are better at doing your job it is their way or no way the established members will maintain their position and suffocate you out of the company.

Middle/higher management technically sound however people management is weak to inexistent at all levels: no formal education and favoritism is perpetuated. It is more important with whom you drink coffee than competences and skills. Therefore, if you are not a chosen one, forget about promotions, development or a career and if that happens is only after you sweat 10 times more. This aspect will also be reflected on appraisals where favoritism comes high during calibration sessions. Currently ongoing positive discrimination where women are promoted, not due to competences but rather because that is what should be done to be a gender friendly company. As a self-proclaimed progressive company, one could expect only English would suffice to communicate in an American company but nope Dutch is key. To finalize, although secondary benefits are interesting, salary is not competitive considering the amount of work and stress.
