The place is a mess. Big time. Service quality is not 5 stars as advertised, actually, is more of an overpriced pub. i have seen better service and shorter waiting times in soccer matches. Team is all new because everybody is quitting all the time due to the horrible conditions. Drinks quality is pretty low for how it's priced. Bars are always severely understaffed. There is no work schedule past the next 7 days. You have to wear a white uniform (ridiculous) but they do not give you one, although they should. Lots of complains: guests expect a level of service that it is impossible to provide. The company is extremely controlling of every single financial operation, every beer you sell, every drop of liquor you poor. The cash register system is horrible complicated and slow. You have to keep the receipts of every transaction to attach to the extensive report you write at the end of your day. No less than 9 hours of work per day, most often 11. Late hours although in job description it's untill 1am. There is no plan to actually improve anything. Actually, i suspect the management of the hotel does not give a damn about anything. If you love your job as a bartender, do not apply to JW Marriott Berlin. Worst job a had in 15 years. Happy i left.
