It used to be great, but now it's in a downward spiral
Pros
Luxury environment, high volume, great money for bartenders and servers
Cons
It's not a great place to work anymore. The new GM and leadership team is quickly deteriorating the "cares-about-employees" culture that the hotel opened with. The GM and executive committee are so persistent about getting a Forbes 5 star rating (which they'll never get...it's Nashville...) that they're completely disregarding their staff happiness to obtain 5 stars at all costs. Which is ironic, because unhappy employees will fail to provide stellar service, which would negate any work done to try to achieve a 5 star rating. So the hotel is in a vicious cycle where it's losing great people, and the powers that be don't really care. Culture trickles down from the top, and it's really sad to see this hotel becoming just another big box Marriott that forgets about their employee's wellbeing and happiness at work.
