Pros

This is for the takeover of Professional Services Industries (PSI) by Intertek. It is in case the company rebrands and buries PSI's sorted history. This review cannot speak to the rest of Intertek, which is quite a large company

Cons

Working at one office, I have some idea why PSI, at least in my region and practice, has fallen from being a top 3 firm to not even near the top 10. They cannot retain anyone, greatly due to the unprofessionalism and arrogance of management. This management clearly flouts the rules that the 'lower' employees get fired for, like the no personal use of company vehicles rule. Don't be a lower level employee here. It's not very good to be a manager either, but some know who how to carve out their privileges. It's hard to believe Intertek's claims of integrity as it has reinforced PSI's culture, including the dishonesty of hiding management misconduct and 'cooking the books'. It's a good old boys club. Also believable from other reviews are the claims of sexual harassment.

Pros

No pros- The people are rude, talk beyond each others back (like high schoolers) extremely unprofessional about any situation involving clients or working with one another. Management is very unaware of anything that is going on within the company or with employees. No communication with anyone

Cons

Do not communicate well with employees or clients that they are working with. They do not have a grasp on any type of "training". They are extremely unprofessional when communicating with one another. The coworkers talk about each other behind each others back on a constant basis.

Company doesn't value employees

Pros

Long term employment. Ok benefits.

Cons

Company does not value it's long time employees. Arbitrarily makes decisions without taking into consideration how it will affect employees. Most recently and illegally refusing to pay over-time to its employees in lie of comp time which unbeknownst to them isn't legal in all states. Stubborn self-centered higher ups. Minimal $0.60 raises every few years while they go on cruises and spend company money frivolously.
