Pros

While my experience was remote and from the outside, the facets of the company with which I interacted were outstanding. Just visit their website and take it all in. Those who have build IxDF have done so with as much love and care as a parent would for their own children. You can see the genuine care and deep love that they all share not only for the company and their clientele, but also for each other and all those that are potential new hires. They have established an ecosystem that should be the envy of other business far and wide. While the model which they have made of their infrastructure would not necessarily work within all forms of business, having the mentality can. They actually care. There is genuine care with each member from the top down. They don't send out robotic generated emails, each email from a real human, who in turn, really cares. You don't find this often, but it should be found more. I can't help but feel that the root of this mentality if the fact that the company is run by Danes, who by their very nature are some of the most caring people on the planet. If you don't believe that, go to Denmark and see for yourself. It's like going to a small neighborhood where everyone knows each and their families, but shed that same care to strangers and travellers. Voted "happiest country in the world" many years running, the core values or care and compassion is engrained, and it has shown through here. I will keep looking for new opening at this company in the hopes that I can one day get a foot in the door. I assure you that if you do, you won't ever want to leave. No this isn't a paid ad, they don't need it, their reputation shines enough as is. I've just seen plenty of very unfortunate business models and top down decisions that leave those who work their without hope for advancement or recognition. This is a breeding ground for it.

Cons

It's such a desirable company that every opening gets tidal waves of applicants. While this isn't inherently a bad thing, it just means that the old adage "there's always a bigger fish" becomes more and more prevalent.

Pros

This schools pros are non.

Cons

Deceptive Design that takes advantage of students by lying and promising world wide job placement, WITHOUT any means to do so. I could not continue being a mentor in good conscience when they were sending me students they hadn’t properly educated they claim to be a UX school but HAVE AWFUL ux design they exploit not only their students but their faculty with subjecting them to having to do free work.

Hi there. It seems you reviewed the wrong company. We do not promise world-wide job placement, we do not ask our students to do free work, and we also do not have (very many) mentors. I think you're talking about "Design Lab", which is a company in New York (your profile says you're from New York). Sending you positive thoughts!

Pros

- A People focused business, Senior Management very approachable and care about employees including their future success - An ever improving culture (driven by new Chief People Officer and Senior Management), recent programs run by the team and encouragement around the teams has been great - Exciting future for the business with recent acquisitions of new Senior Management including a new COO who is delivering an exciting vision (and actually executing on this vision) - A structured but not burdening approach to performance management with business, team and personal goals is great and I like this approach - The business has been an online office for 20 years, currently they’re investing in new tools to improve the current setup and I'm excited for future - Once a year team trip whereby everyone from across the globe meet up in one location (mix of business and fun) - A diverse team, working with friendly team members across the world is a real plus. The business each week encourages a 15 minute non work related call to engage with everyone in the business - People are passionate about their work and it's great to work with the team - Perks include: allowance to purchase your own laptop (Apple/PC is fine), gym/sport allowance and working from home office allowance and being an Interaction Design Unicorn!

Cons

- Coming from working in an office to 100% online it took some time to adjust, I try to get out a few times a week with others from the business and use co-working spaces which is a top fix - Time zones can be challenging at times, but we get around this by comprising within our teams to at times; an example being once a fortnight doing an hour or so early or later. Not a big issue at all, but I do love my sleep! - The founders previously were more visible within the business, it would be great to hear a bit more from them at team meetings and around the channels
