Pros

The company is going through challenging and interesting times. It's trying to find a core message. Opportunity to work with products that are good, were excellent, lost track (and some almost dissapeared) and Infor is maintaining or recovering them from the dust

Cons

It lacks the typical spirit of a technology company. It's very well managed but there is not inspiration, except we are doing great business and we started we a great business case. Difficult to merge all the different companies, and the different perspectives produce a lot of sparks between management and employees from different companies or products (they do not understand our market, they only think in small business, you do not produce enough revenue, etc). The Infor SOA innitiative is very interesting but lacks the condiments to spark enthusiasm in other product lines. At the end of the day you feel that there is no idea, no breakthrough and the products kept developing, but not evolving; you can feel depress in the long run

Pros

Coworkers are friendly. Layback, lots of paid time off days. For some employees, life is really good.

Cons

Infor in paper is a big company, but indeed is a just a combined but scattered small 3rd tier (even lower) players together. Local decision making is local oriented with lot of favorism towards inner circle guys. As a software company, Infor has a very weak technology stand. Many technology companies in this level should proudly own some intellectual property. The biggest intellectual property of Infor is its money. And this is not secret. Overall software engineering effort is very weak. Many senior software engineer (doing Java) even don't know how to read stack trace. Technical leader are indeed technical cheer leader.

Pros

lots of time off, flex time, work from home, casual environment

Cons

outsourcing to cut costs, lots of changes, lots of confusion, 10 different ways to do one thing, too many people to answer to, no raise, promotions but no salary increase
