      Hook & Loop: Not Willing to Invest in Their Dreams

      Pros

      Really nice office, good benefits, interesting projects.

      Cons

      Disorganized, overworked, poor work-life balance. Continually takes on contractors and tries to low-ball them with salary offers (~$10 - $35K less). They fire employees brought on through outside recruiters because they don't want to pay the agency fees. They want to revolutionize enterprise software, but they are unable to operate like anything else but a slimy agency.

      There is a tremdous amount of opportunity within the company to move around if you are willing to work for it.

      Cons

      The company has extremely high expectations of its employees in terms of committment to the job and hours expected to be available.

      Pros

      Very focused executive level, driven with clear marketing messages and great strategy to be different in a market full of competition. Good company values and a strong belief in people, good working conditions with flexibility where required.

      Cons

      Middle management are not fully engaged or aligned with the executive level; fragmentation of messages from the executive level and inconsistent beliefs in future strategy leave employees confused and/or frustrated. Future career opportunities are not clear, a relatively flat structure and lack of clear career paths make it difficult to grow.
