Pros

This has been by far the most rewarding professional experience I have had. A few things that stand out to me about Indigo: 1. We work on really hard problems, and people are driven to find solutions. 2. Team members are incredibly supportive and ready to jump in to help on new projects. I have seen few work environments with such a collaborative culture. 3. People work to get things done. There are few managers who are not also doers - having a lot of capable people is valuable in completing the massive body of work that we're tasked with. 4. The level of ownership I've had is unparalleled in other work environments I've been in. People expect - and allow for - a level of responsibility that exceeds any of my past experiences. 5. This is truly a mission-driven company. We are trying to do what's best for consumers, growers, and the environment, and such a strong focus on these stakeholders is incredibly unique for a large, growing organization.

Cons

People work extremely hard - it's definitely not a 9-5 job!

I really appreciate your detailed feedback and the way you describe the work environment - it's consistent with what I've always seen at Indigo - collaborative, supportive, incredibly high levels of ownership. I agree also that people work extremely hard. We aim to make it a flexible work environment and give people a lot of autonomy in their work as well. Thanks so much!

Pros

free lunch/better than average salary for the role.

Cons

Working here gave me a constant stream of anxiety. There was no training and it always felt like no matter how much work I completed or how many hours I worked it was never enough to please those I worked with. Working 12 hours a day, every day, plus weekends is the norm for some departments and you have nothing to show for the time that has been put in. After leaving I have never felt such a relief to know that I never have to go back to an environment in which I'm not appreciated.

Thank you for taking time to share your feedback. I’m so sorry to hear that you did not have a good experience working at Indigo. I appreciate your feedback on training as it is something we’ve focused on a great deal over the last year. You may have started before we implemented some of this, but we now offer in-depth New Hire Training for all new employees, with several additional weeks of training for the sales teams. We’ve also added a robust Manager Training program, and 150+ online training modules. Our Learning & Development team is continuously adding new trainings based on feedback from our employees as well. If any current employee feels he or she is lacking necessary training, I encourage him or her to reach out directly to our L&D team. It seems like you have already left Indigo, so I want to wish you all the best in your next endeavor and thank you for your hard work and time while you were here.
