Pros

This is the most professional, respectful, fun, challenging and rewarding job I've ever had. Offering a lot of autonomy, but with guidance whenever I need it. I was drawn to Indigo for a number of reasons (great culture, mission driven organization, strong emphasis on health and wellness). I have been with the company for 3 years and have grown so much as a professional. I feel really lucky to work here!

Cons

Really can't think of any at the moment. Maybe the lack of 401k matching.

I'm so glad that you're having a great experience and that the work has been so rewarding! It's great to hear that you're growing as a professional as that is what we hope for everyone here and spend a lot of time developing our culture to support that. I appreciate the feedback on the 401(k) match. Like many startups in our phase, we don't currently offer a match but as we grow as a company, we continually evaluate our benefits and this will be something we evaluate. Thank you! Katie

Endless Opportunity

Pros

- Everyone is in charge of their own growth. If you're someone that knows where you want to grow or be professionally, Indigo is super open to you taking on projects to get you there. Because everyone that works here was a leader of some kind in the industry they were in prior to Indigo, there are so many opportunities to learn more about different areas of the business and about different industries. If you're someone who is self-assured, motivated, and driven, you will succeed and thrive here - Going off of the point above, this company is filled with extremely talented, bright, friendly, and passionate people. It is a true joy to come into work every day and work alongside such great people. It creates a motivating and supportive environment - The office space itself is fairly new, open-concept, and full of natural light. It's a very comfortable office- complete with things like wellness rooms, well thought out shared spaces where people can collaborate, and phone booth rooms. - Indigo is mission driven and it's awesome to work for a company looking to make big, positive changes in the world. It's a good feeling working toward something bigger than yourself. - Good work and accomplishing goals results in $$$ - Indigo walks the walk and talks the talk in terms of their company values and how they treat employees (they offer a lot of services that support the health and wellness of their employees- including a fully stocked kitchen with lots of delicious/healthy food) - The start up culture encourages employees to look at their work with a critical eye and empowers employees to make changes to business processes as they see fit (nothing is firmly set in stone and you have the opportunity to impact the business with changes and recommendations for how things should operate) - The profile of Indigo is growing every day and working here is a really cool opportunity to work with a industry changing company.

Cons

- Everyone is in charge of their own growth- for some people, this doesn't work. Because Indigo is a competitive, fast paced start up, there is not a lot of hand holding. You are responsible for your work, your career path, and your future at Indigo. You need to advocate for yourself (or learn how to) to ensure growth. - Like any start up, it can be easy to get sucked in to not having a great work/life balance. You need to really know yourself and establish your own personal boundaries to avoid the trap of working too much.
