Pros

Great coworkers and lifelong friends.

Cons

The company does not know what they want to be when they grow up. The company went in so many different directions for no other reason than they arrogantly thought they pull it off (reminds me of WeWork). The lack of focus and failure to execute starts at the top. The CEO’s failures can be seen by a simple google search, and he’s replicating the same model all over again. The same lack of system integration and running the entire company off of a ton of spreadsheets (I wish I was exaggerating). The CSCO has failed to build a successful business unit. His departments have faced many layoffs, and some have been moved under different leadership (hopefully they can save them). The board has lost all faith in the CEO and COO, hence why two members have stepped in as interim global COO and interim CFO. The company operates way too long unchecked by not having a CFO, resulting in frivolous spending and payment problems. Payments to vendor and growers have been a problem from the start and only gets worse. Hopefully the board members can help right the ship, but I believe the worse is yet to come.

Pros

Employee Benefits are great. The people that I work with are bright and hard working. New focus and direction by upper management. Mission and goal of company is still the reason that I come to work everyday.

Cons

The layoffs. The layoff process took way too long and created a stressful environment for employees for months. Both, the employees that were let go and those that stayed, deserved better. Previous lack of focus and structure. Conflicting direction from senior leaders.

Pros

Pay and Benefits are good if you get to keep them.

Cons

CEO and the COO who was recently appointed by the absentee board are not aligned and consistently deliver conflicting messaging to employees. CEO laughed while addressing how badly the multiple rounds of layoffs have gone but never apologized or took responsibility for the decisions that lead to it. In fact, nobody in a management position had to take responsibility. They have no clue how to measure carbon and are pedaling empty promises to both investors and farmers. Commercial side is a train wreck. I guess that's what happens when you don't have a single person with any industry experience. It's so bad a VP actually decided to put on a pair of Dickies overalls and rubber boats while pretending to be a 'farmer'. Here, "hold my beer" while I alienate the culture of both your employees and your customers. We aren't stupid, you're just ignorant.
