Strong ideas, corrupt management

Pros

Great general work culture, take care of their employees, flexible, great mission

Cons

Management in ipsyCare is elitist, promotions seem to be already chosen though they encourage applicants. ipsyCare management takes special care to be most unknowledgeable about policies and procedures, and upper management is so "busy" they have no time to understand their management team needs serious restructuring and ego checks. Sensitivity training should be given to all in management, specifically ipsyCare, as many do not connect enough to their employees to understand how to deliver basic empathy to their staff. It is my belief that ipsy and the rest of the department heads should seriously take a deep look into ipsyCare's management - things could stand to be changed around drastically. New faces breed new and better ideas, in my opinion!

Pros

- Love the ipsy team, so young, energetic, hard-working, and creative (two stars for them)

Cons

- No growth opportunities in many teams - You are not valued by $ amount, though you are doing great and very important work. - Not a fan of the HR, which team actually had the highest turnover rate. - CEO needs to trust the management to make their own decisions. - Hard working customer service girls need more career growth opportunities and better pay

Pros

-Stock options -Flexible working hours if you have a need -WFH option -free product and company offsites are generous

Cons

The Care Department is hemorrhaging great talent and it’s really tough to navigate. The recent high turnover rate will be blamed on the post COVID-19 norms but that’s not it at all. The department is hugely undervalued, to the point that HR is conducting focus groups to figure out what is going wrong. That sounds encouraging, but absolutely no action has been taken. They really encourage employees to push out propaganda about how much they love their “journey” with the company and have several meetings devoted to fostering “culture” but it’s just a vehicle to gaslight over-worked, under-paid employees. There are a few in management positions that thrive on an uptight, nervous culture while others do their best to counteract. It’s bleeding into all levels and any valid concerns are met with corporate buzzwords and any hope for change falls flat. The company has also approved a compensation plan for basic warehouse workers that nearly surpasses what they pay the standard care agent. The average agent nets $1200-$1400 every 2 weeks. A line worker at the warehouse gets nearly that as a bonus for working there for 180 days. The workloads and expectations are far too high for an agent to not be insulted by that fact.
