Pros

Full benefits, decent discounts, nice employees, decent PTO.

Cons

Incompetent management. High school mentality among some coworkers. No room to move up unless you are dating a manager. Too many politics. High turn over. They make you fill out a development plan when there's no such thing as development.

Pros

Benefits for coworkers who work 20-35 hours a week. PTO and Sick Time even for level 1 coworkers (12-19 hours a week) Coworkers are generally nice and you will make friends easily.

Cons

Completely disorganized environment. Customers are awful. Bad management, especially in sales - you will suffer except for the one or two good people. Awful hours and schedule, and no one cares to help you fix it.

Pros

For retail they do care about environment and sustainability. At its core IKEA wants to make a better life for everyone with quality low cost goods. I feel positive about having a job that is 'convincing you to buy more than you were intending' because I believe in the products.

Cons

IKEA USA recently botched a floor to ceiling corporate restructuring and stores are feeling the impact of new roles with undefined processes or methods.
