Pros

Great place to work if you can get over the office politics.

Cons

Departments are isolated, and there are a lot of people that want to live in the past, and reminisce about how IGT was so good. These are the people that they kept. GTECH merger hasn't helped since they had their own issues so now it's just compounded into turf wars.

Great team environment, decent benefits, exciting and challenging work

Cons

Constant layoffs, replacing executives witn non industry employees, little effort to enact employee engagement, too little communication from upper management during excessive change within company, very high demands placed on employees not appreciated.

Pros

Almost every member of the department sacrificed time and comfort to get the job done. It was a very dynamic, if dysfunctional (family), team environment.

Cons

There were times that work/life balance came into question, but the feeling of accomplishment we had when finishing a really difficult project was often substantial.
