Pros

Hmmmmm let me think about that

Cons

IGT Australia is a market follower, it mimics competitors, is reluctant to innovate, and rejects change unless if initiated by a competitor. It reacts with fast follows of the competition's innovations. Input/ideas/creativity from middle managers and below is often rejected (unless you're one of the Studio Director's coffee friends). Global HR policies for inclusion, support, bullying, gaslighting don't seem to apply for certain Directors. If it wasn't for the financial support from IGT Global, IGT Australia would have shut down years ago.

Pros

Almost all of the technical/software management has been with the company for many years, starting from the ground up, so they know what they’re doing and how to manage development teams well. There’s really good benefits packages, and the company values work/life balance.

Cons

There’s really nothing negative that stands out here, just the typical conflict that happens at nearly every corporate job: distant PMs you’ve never met will try to guilt you into cutting corners for them, or try to get you to put extra time in for their projects. If you stand your ground and stick to the project plan, these PMs will report you in their verticals instead of to your management team. Just document everything and always communicate with your dev team lead, they’ll have your back.
