Pros

IGT does have decent benefits packages and a good amount of vacation time (starting with 3 weeks of time off with +1 week after 5 years) as well as 7+ company holiday days. Salaries aren't horrible but they are not good either.

Cons

Absolutely no opportunity for career advancement. The salary you negotiate is basically what you will make for the remainder of your career. Most senior management is completely incompetent. Horrible employee retention rate.

Pros

Benefits and the opportunity to move around in the company. You can travel and work all around the world. The chance to transfer international to work is available as well. They have a real good benefits package to include cash-sharing and a big once a year 401k dump that is around 10 percent of your yearly salary(guesstimate). They are good about paying people relocation to take a job with them and other housing assistance. They were extremely helpful for the employees who worked out of the Biloxi office during Katrina.

Cons

Long hours and pay does not equal up to what it should. Management sometimes is not clear on what direction we are taking. Also it seems we have been re- organizing divisions for the last couple of years.
