Decent company but doesn't do much to make you want to stay

Pros

Great benefits package and PTO. Good work-life balance.

Cons

I have not seen many opportunities for advancement. There have been many outside hires with little knowledge of company SOPs and systems. It seems like a waste of internal talent.

Flexible hours, opportunities to work at home, on-site cafeteria, people are really nice to work with

Cons

Merit pay increases and bonuses are not very good, too many inefficient systems that result in redundancy of effort, high staff turnover, staff is allocated to too many projects, high stress level across groups, difficult to replace headcount, not a good work-life balance, exit interviews are no longer conducted when employees leave the company so the reasons they are leaving are not being documented, senior management is far-removed from the day-to-day and out of touch with employees

ICON is a good place to start your career. You will learn so much about how not to do things!

Cons

ICON is too focused on the bottom line even at the expense of quality. It also puts profits over people. Our CEO can lay off people telling them it's for budgetary purposes while the stock price is at record highs and him being the highest paid CEO in Ireland.
