Pros

At this point, pretty much all the pros have been taken or diminished. The knowledge that the work ICON does helps people get cures is somewhat comforting. The timeoff policy at the outset looks generous, but considering how many hours you're required to put in to earn time off, even that is not really a pro anymore.

Cons

Currently, I have never seen morale this low in Language Services. Management just doubled the workload of our department, forcing client managers to become salespeople (on top of our already overwhelming workload), including doing cold calling, business presentations, etc, without giving us any training. They also expect us to do another full-time job I sales with no compensation. When concerns are expressed to the manager about a lack of time or training to do this successfully, the response is, "You have a bad attitude and need to manager your time better." Management comes in at 9 am and leaves at 4:30 pm, meanwhile employees regularly work 8 am to 7 pm due to overwhelming workload and no staff. No work-life balance whatsoever. The HR page says employees have the option to work from home, but management of Language Services will not allow anyone to work from home (except the Director, who works from home full-time). All the company values they profess to have are complete lip service. Health insurance costs go up by $100 per month each year. I have never seen a company so dedicated to taking the fun out of the workday for employees. No teambuilding, no events, just unnecessary rules and a ton of work.

I second the review of the "Deeply Concerned Firecrest Employee”

Pros

There are great people at every level apart from most of Senior Management. There are good sports and social and personal fitness programmes, Since the turn of the year, there have been training courses made available to staff for personal and professional development.

Cons

I entirely agree with every con submitted by the “Deeply Concerned Firecrest Employee”. I believe it is no coincidence whatsoever that, with the exception of the two reviews from a few years back, all the reviews up until about a year ago were overwhelmingly positive, as it was at that time that a new senior management team began to make its presence felt within the organisation. These people, with few exceptions, have done little but damage to the company. Good people at every level are fed up and leaving in droves, not simply because they have better options elsewhere, but because they cannot stomach the incompetence, and in some cases the sheer aggressiveness and lack of respect shown towards the company's employees and ideals by many of the senior management team.

Pros

Work life balance is the only thing.

Cons

Underpaid, high turnover, inefficient and broken systems, complete disconnect between senior management and staff on the ground. Ongoing waste of resources to recruit and train new staff, while nothing is done to retain experienced talent.
