Pros

Generous PTO, some WFH roles

Cons

Living day to day not knowing when the hammer will drop on your lay off. United States jobs used to be secure. Now, you have no promise of work u less you live in Mexico or India. It seems like we are managed by an angry child. He doesn’t get his way, he throws a fit. We are just collateral damage.

Pros

Fair workload and decent benefits

Cons

CEO focused on old-school mentality. Forcing employees back in office, replacing US layoffs with same position in other countries for cheaper salary. No parental leave. Short term disability only for mother at 60% pay (US only) 401K take THREE years to vest the company match. Otherwise 0% company contribution is kept. Very clicky. Limited growth opportunity.

Pros

Decent option for getting your feet wet in clinical research *If* you are lucky to have a good team, there's a sense of comraderie If you're lucky to have a good COM, they will vouch for your work

Cons

"temporary" hiring freeze for IHCRA to CRA 1 has left some of us waiting 1.5 years to promote Offshoring US jobs to "cheaper" countries Lack of transparency in their internal affairs - lots of promises with no delivery Very poor raises "Baptism by fire" trainings for study assignments, everyone is too busy due to unrealistic expectations to meet Sponsor demands and ICON metrics to train team members HR-mandated trainings are boring and repetitive, no interaction Frequently when you have a bad team member, you're expected to take on their work while they can fly under the radar for months, leaving the good workers burnt out Benefits are expensive and average at best Upper management is very out of touch and can be downright demeaning during townhalls post-layoffs
