It is hard to feel valued when only 1 group in the department receives retention bonuses, but all other groups in the department don't. The group that is receiving the retention bonus it's already seen as the prima donna group with high pay AND they get retention bonuses!?! Granted, there are a few project managers (count on 1 hand) that really should be retained, as their loss would be felt. The others could easily be replaced and don't deserve it. Terrible for the morale of all others. But apparently that doesn't matter.

SSU MANAGEMENT. They constantly tell you this isn't high school or "tend to your own garden", but they are the ones stirring the pot. They make everything personal, they talk behind employees' backs to other employees, encourage tattling (and reward it), do not offer support or proper guidance, and do not handle utilization of their resources appropriately. One person can have nothing to do, while the next is swamped and barely surviving. They offer perks and false compliments to convince people not to leave. The first bit of advice when I started was "watch your back"... It is so unfortunate for such a great company to overlook such unprofessional behavior.
