Pros

Easy to come in, do your work and go home People have been employed there for decades Low to no drama Like working for the government but the benefits are better and free Awesome work space and location next to Metro Great place to get experience without high pressure Older work force who don't like change, so very stable and consistent Solid industry represented by the organization Paid parking and Metro If you can make it to the top, the pay is out of this world according to the 1099's (BMW's for executive management, special insurance, first class travel, bonuses)

Cons

Lack of upward mobility or promotability Poor internal communication Low employee morale/employees fear management Employees are equipment in attaining the organizations goals Poor salaries/low pay Very antiquated hierarchy of management who hold onto power instead of empowering others Non-functioning human resources department/high turnover in the roll Employees are sometimes bullied by managers Poor performers and abusive managers are not dealt with, fired or disciplined.

Pros

The benefits were OUTSTANDING - like nothing I've ever see before. Also, my colleagues were awesome! Very little turnover as well.

Cons

Pay was low, but the benefits made up for it. Management styles were all over the map. My new manager and her manager were horrible and the reason why I left. However, some managers were fantastic and it showed because of the number of years their employees stayed.
