Low paying

Pros

One free cruise after a year of employment

Cons

Low paying, training too long but doesn't cover the basics you need for job knowledge. Unrealistic sales expectations. We have to have 7 pieces of flare but you need to get the maximum 35. They let people go without telling them they were terminated. By shutting down the internet connection. No exit interview if you quit. And if you did talk to HR they would gas light you and tell you that you were wrong instead of trying to improve working conditions.

Pros

In the corporate office, employees are able to take every other Friday off. The corporate office is nice but extremely cold in the winter. There are a lot of great people here who are unappreciated and over worked.

Cons

This company is ran like a start up. Technology is a major challenge with a lot of the manual functions where there should be automation. Because of such manual processes, a huge amount of errors and delays in processing are very common. Fact: It will take you more than month to get a working computer and along with the programs needed to do your job. The Techs in the building are just for Executives. Regular employees will need to call a foreign country to get support. Each issue will require at least 3 tickets. The culture is very archaic and there's no growth mindset.

Pros

My coworkers were welcoming and enjoyable to be with. There's a cafeteria. Lower Queen Anne is a nice neighborhood to wander at lunch. Plenty of happy hours near by.

Cons

I’d heard negative things about HA for years, mostly related to salary. I was able to negotiate my salary to what was fair and thought that was that. Wrong. Things that had me looking for a new job within 3 months: *employees pay to attend the summer picnic *my group was expected to work very late hours once a month, sometimes until 2 am. Food for dinner would be provided, but not drinks because a soda machine is in the building. Parking was not paid for these days. Even though what I needed to start my work was not completed by other departments until at least 2pm, staring the work day later was not allowed, nor was coming in later the next day. That’s right: 8am to 2am and then back at 8am. Given the dependencies of the tasks being done, there was no need for this. It was just face time while waiting for the next group to finalize the month. *the company is self insured for disability insurance and it’s based on time of service and does not become fully vested until 7 (?) years. It’s supposed to be insurance, in case of permanent disability. Last I checked, no one can chose the onset of a disability. I did not become disabled, but it’s a sign of HA not taking care of their employees and not providing standard compensation.
