* 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off * New building

Cons

* Difficult commute to lower Queen Anne * Dysfunctional, silo'ed IT (one group run by an outside firm) makes it impossible to get anything big or important done * Old Boys' club at the top * Lower than market pay * Next to impossible to take the free yearly cruise . (In almost 4 years, I was never able to do it.)

Good talent on staff, lots of knowledge, free cruises, great product, nice perks

Cons

Stuck in pre-technology world, management doesn't understand what they want, and take that out on employees performing work for them. Location of offices are awful for commuting by public transit from most spots. They under pay for talent

Pros

There are some great people within the company, and there are opportunities to learn and to lead, depending on your department.

Cons

The company is very old-school in its view of human resources. The company suffers from a low moral, and there is no sense of momentum, growth, energy or excitement here. Pay is lower than average, and in my department at least, there was an emphasis on butt-in-seat, rather than on productivity, which will have to change to be competitive in Seattle. Holland is not leading they way on anything, not social responsibility nor innovation.
