Pros

Hilton provides its employees with a travel porgram that allows employees to stay in hilton owned and managed properties all over the world at extremely discounted rates. Hilton also provides benefits that are excellent.

Cons

As with all hotels in the industry its a 24 hour gig 365 days a year so there are no days off for holidays.

Pros

The oppurtunity to meet lots of different and interesting people, employee travel discounts, worldwide company. Good leadership in management, professional operations.

Cons

Shifting work schedule makes routines very difficult to achieve, and 24/7/365 nature of the industry leads to extreme difficulty in getting time off. Very low pay in relationship to responsibilities, professionalism, aptitude, and amount of knowledge expected of many workers. Nature of industry provides for an overly stuffy and formal environment.

Pros

Working for Hilton Brand hotel has been an great opportunity for me. It did not take me very long to move up in the company. I enjoy my leadership team and the duties they assign to me every day. Knowing that my leadership team will back me up on decisions I make to take care of my guest is a big deal in my eyes. I also enjoy knowing that the company is structured as such that feedback and personal growth is more than just something you read in a manual but they actually apply it to everyday situations. I would have to say it was one of the best companies I have worked for.

Cons

Just as sure as the sun will rise and fall everyday, every company does have a downside. I do wish that I would recieve more monetary compesation for the job I perform but I bet the majority of the world thinks they are underpaid for their line of work. Another downside I would have to honestly point out is job security. I guess that I have been spoiled from working in call-centers where you have to do something extreme to get fired. I have learned that as long as you are doing the job to the best of your abilities, the company wants to keep you.
