Pros

Salary on time. You can earn good amount of incentives is you can sell. Market brand value is good.

Cons

Immense Pressure. Rational and partial bosses. If you get an area with not much business potential, your life in Hilti is screwed. Very high superiority complexes in the old employees, be it your team members or bosses or EMT's. In your first month of joining you will be made to feel that its the best company one can ever work in, but as the time passes by you will start to face reality. It used to be an MNC before, but now you can be very sure of working in a lala company.

We appreciate your feedback on our company. While we observe that you are enthused by a few positive aspects working with us, we are also concerned about your perceptions about our work culture, as well as your opportunity to contribute, that have been less than up to your expectations. To understand the issue better, we would invite you to have a conversation with members of our HR team who will deal with your concerns in a confidential manner. We also would like to point out that as a company, we pride ourselves on our culture and regularly take feedback from our employees and deal with these very seriously. As you are currently working with the company, you would be aware of our GEOS Survey that has been just launched as well as the GM's communication on this, including follow up action workshops that we undertake to deal with issues raised. We Look forward to hearing from you and thank you once again for taking the time to provide feedback.

Pros

1. Perks includes medical, clinical, dentistry benefits. 2. Generous with the amount of annual leaves. 3. Bonus included. 4. Opportunity to travel per year to Europe or US.

Cons

1. This huge company is structured in a way that in order for career progression to happen, you will have to spend a great amount of time in irrelevant activities in order to be heard across the organization. Some teams created a metric to encourage its member to spend more time on its company social media talking about their contributions than to actually work. 2. Too many company processes that renders the organization unable to fully adopt agile methodologies. Employees painstakingly spent more time getting buy-ins than actually getting things to work. 3. Too much of hourly long US and European meetings every week at the expensive of personal time. 4. A company that tries to convert its in-house developers to Project Managers. Too many Project Managers. 5. Management has different management styles according to regions - Malaysia, America, Europe - where work ethics may not necessary be the Hilti way. 6. The work is not very interesting as you may be dealing with ancient software and processes.

Pros

Brand is what attracts most of the people and that brand value is not true at all

Cons

Hilti India only believes in its own growth and that is cascading from the Asia region and further up from Hilti group. The company wants you to keep achieving sales plan consistently with utmost truthfulness and integrity and pretends to follow zero tolerance on any wrong doing. The company takes stern action against people caught doing anything wrong. but never tries to understand in what circumstances that thing happened. Fudging & forging happens bcoz of intense sales pressure. The Co. empowers sales managers and expects them to follow more than hundred processes laid out and one or the other process is likely to be ignored (by team member) and co. catches hold of the same and immediately terminates the person without giving any importance to the circumstances or long served tenure by that team member at Hilti India. The company needs to take a pitstop and try to analyses why so many cases are coming up where one or the other process is being overlooked resulting into termination of team member. Firstly, company doesn’t pay you well (it is less than other companies of same industry / construction allied) and has zillions of processes to be followed and has immense sales pressure and in that sales pressure if you tend to ignore / overlook something, the company gets to know that and take it as a violation of ethics and sack you with immediate effect So, in a way company has got down to working as per its whims & fancies, that it will take action if you don’t achieve your sales target and in case that you kind of deviate / ignore some process (out of 100 processes) to achieve your target then also action will be taken.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your time at Hilti. We’re extremely concerned to read that you felt you had a negative experience whilst working with us – we take your feedback seriously and would welcome the opportunity to discuss this further with you. Growth in scale and complexity in organizations can be quite taxing on people. If we have to outperform and grow we have to put in our best and a little extra effort, while working smartly, to achieve our goals. Whilst we understand that at times, workload can be challenging (which is something we’re actively addressing as through many of our engagement as well as wellness programs) we do offer an open and honest environment where our team members can openly discuss their concerns with their leaders to alleviate this issue. We have a structured target setting process every year in agreement with each team member followed by a continuous review process which is also a platform to discuss work related concerns. The team leader does his or her best to address these concerns in such platforms With regards to compensation, we do our best to ensure that our policies and practices are framed in a way that ensures fairness & equality and keeps us at par with the industry standards. Finally, the way we do things in Hilti is based on our strong values – “Integrity, Courage, Teamwork and Commitment”. We expect complete honesty from our team members and have them treat this company as their own. We have zero tolerance for violation of any of the values at Hilti. We do a thorough due diligence prior to taking action against any employee once an ethics violation is detected. However we would be happy to clarify and discuss with you in detail about your experience, therefore if you could email us your contact details at HRIndia@hilti.com a member of our team will be in contact as soon as possible.
