Pros

Good products Good Training Program Reputed Brand

Cons

Hilti Culture and values which they brag about are certainly being compromised at senior level. All caring and support culture is only on paper and in reality it is non caring and totally unsupportive culture. Senior management consider account manager (sales) as their slaves and they only care about sales numbers. If you do numbers every month then you are safe or else be ready to get thrown out of company .. . Pathetic leadership. Narcissist Mindset. Directionless Management. Too much micro management. People who are settled on a senior position only do politics and do gossiping. No motivation is left in the account managers to do their daily work. Each and every sales person you speak with is frustrated with their job. Please do not get too much excited about car which is being offered by company. Car is not going to help you grow in your career. Advice to middle level job seekers is to stay away from them. They will ruin your career. Freshers can stay upto 1-2 years to get an experience.

Think 1000 times before you accept their job offer!

Pros

Money is not everything. Better repenting later, remember that your current organisation is far better than saying yes to this organisation's job offer.

Cons

A typical sales organisation, loaded with sick middle management. Middle management is immature to handle decent professionals. - Managers are just sick enough, which you will feel from your first hour in the organisation. Will force to work post your working hours, Saturdays, long long hours. -Their mindset is just like typical a desi organisation. - They will not let you adjust in the environment. - Middle management is making the new joiners leave so early, repenting why they took the decision to join this organisation. -Upper management is just not doing anything to these middle management bad behaviors. I would recommend you to think 1000 times before you accept their job offer, rather stay in your current organisation and wait for another good opportunity.

Hilti Group Response

Hilti is an open, honest and transparent company – and as such we welcome feedback to improve our organisation and offer the best possible working environment for all employees, so thank you for taking the time to leave a review on Glassdoor. We’re disappointed to see your comments above and would welcome the opportunity to discuss this with you further. We offer a flexible work environment and as such offer many benefits to ensure a strong work life balance. We’re troubled to see that you mention you were forced to work past your normal working hours – as this is not the culture we’ve worked very hard to develop. If you wouldn’t mind leaving us your contact details by emailing the contact details at the bottom of this response we’d really like the opportunity to look into this on your behalf – as this falls below the very high standards we expect. Sometimes when we work to outperform, responsibilities require a flexible approach to working beyond the stipulated hours as necessary – however, this is not the norm and our team leaders as well as team members are mature enough to understand this. We invest huge resources into the hiring, onboarding and training of new staff members and therefore making new joiners leave early is counterproductive to our business and not the culture we promote. Our new hires undergo a rigorous orientation and integration which lasts upto 6 months. We would like to point out that, therefore, new hires do get engaged early and do not like to leave Hilti as demonstrated by our high engagement scores, very low attrition (14%) and very high integration success rate (88%). We’re proud that Hilti India amongst many of our other markets was awarded a Great Place to Work award for 2017 – this award is voted for anonymously by our work force and therefore does not reflect the environment you describe in your review, however if you would like to talk to us about this further and raise any concerns you had during your time at Hilti please email HRIndia@hilti.com and a member of our team will be in touch as soon as possible

Pros

Fair compensation, very stable long-term, and some interesting benefits (in particular flexible working conditions, working from home). Depending on the department and team you're in, you might have a very positive working environment. In others, such as the marketing team in some Business Units, the working hours could be too long...that varies.

Cons

If you're under 35 and you have worked (even for a few months) in a large management consulting firm, your career is secure. But if you don't happen to have worked for BCG, McKinsey or Bain, no matter what your background, expertise, or years of experience in the firm are, etc, you're close to worthless. You will have NO career potential whatsoever, and you'll be lucky to have a chance at a team leadership position. But that's rare. Just when you become an interesting candidate for other companies, Hilti's management has decided that after 35 or 40 years of age you're already old and of no use. You'll be stuck in your position until they see you as stagnating and lacking drive (like I've seen happen too often already). You may be let go, or delegated to a lesser position until you decide to leave.
