Pros

Commision if you can earn it is great!

Cons

The ONLY way to get a good commission check is to cheat and everybody knows it including management. Horrible company unless you are desperate run away from Hertz. Super high turnover even with CEO's

Pros

1). Cheap rental cars. 2). You could get to drive different cars during work(depends upon location). 3). More number of hours so you could make more money/week.

Cons

1). Even though the car rental is cheap you can't afford it with the salary given by Hertz. 2). Hours literally suck. There will be weeks when you want to work more and make more money but this job wears you out and if you don't want to work overtime in a particular week you would still have to come to work because of scarcity of the employees. Most of the people leave in 2-3 months. There's no life if you are working at Hertz retail/HLE stores.Report early morning and by the time you leave the office you are physically tired that you just want to go to bed without even eating supper. That's because you have to clean cars. Yes, you read it right. You pick customers from home/bodyshops/train stations, clean the cars, rent cars, sell insurance, drop of customer to homes/bodyshops/train stations, fill air in the tire. You do all this when there are 10-15 customers waiting and literally cursing you for making them late for appointments at your store and you are only 1-2 people doing all that stuff. You have to clean the car, even if it's snowing/raining/ or on a sunny day without any shed. You are also expected to clean the office/toilet and throw out garbage. And after doing all this if your insurance sales are less than the goal projected by your Area Manager you are written off. Yes, There are many perks and discounts at Hertz but you can't afford anything with the paycheck.
