Pros
Sign On Bonus of $6,000 paid over 1 year of employment (for a CSA position). Basic health coverage (medical, vision and dental) after 90-days of employment (but you have to endure a rough working environment and culture to get any of it)
Cons
Union (Dues) Initiation Fee of $400 and due of$50/month taken from your paycheck that were never discussed to potential employees until AFTER you accept the position. Hertz forces/pressures new employees to sign up for health benefits BEFORE their 90-days because the company and/or the health care administrator(s) receive fees per employee head count that sign up. Once you quit or get fired, you do not receive your expected benefits via COBRA (which I think is illegal). If you sign up for a non-Hertz Benefits plan (CCHP) which is Union sponsored, you waive ALL rights to any other health benefits offered by Hertz...another misrepresentation by Hertz to new employees. HR never takes responsibility in responses to current or former employees questions about pay, health benefits and general practices. The turn over of employees is so high, they just don't care nor try to assist.
