Pros

time off when requested well in advance

Cons

I currently work by myself 12hrs a day M-F and 9-12 Sat. long hours only to make around 25k a year. they constantly change bonus structure and promise we will get more but in reality i got a1/3 of what i should get. we are also required to wear a shirt and tie although we have to wash cars in 100 degree temps or 0 degree in winter. we never have cars for reservations and i get yelled at all day by customers.

Pros

-strong, team-oriented environment -great, knowledgeable, professional co-workers -large, global organization with strong brand/name recognition -able to wear jeans on Fridays -senior management seems genuinely interested in engaging employees in the Hertz culture and brand -many different trainings and growth opportunities available -bonuses -401k match and pension plan

Cons

-refusal to adopt a telecommuting policy for corporate employees even though nearly every salaried employee has a company issued blackberry & laptop -widespread expectation that employees will work when out sick and on vacation -not a friendly environment for those employees that are only able to work regular hours due to family needs - working moms beware! -refusal to close during severe snow storms (head quarters remained open during the state of emergency that was issued during the blizzard in December 2010)

Pros

Good benefits, company car w/company paid fuel and insurance. Lotsof vacation after tenure.

Cons

Your always running. Always seemed to be short staffed. Striving for improvement ends up being more demoralizing and depressing then beneficial. They're always changing the bonus structure, which inevitably equates to lower bonuses. If you get incompitent employees, they're really hard to get rid of and a problem to work with. New hires are paid $10/hour...better off working at McDonalds.
