A once great company ...........

Pros

The staff', that's it! After 20+ loyal years during that time the only constant was the support of your immediate team, area and fellow employees.

Cons

Where to start - this company used to mean something and be something, not anymore! It is simply all about the share price now and everybody's life is made a misery unless the investors are making money. Don't get me wrong, this is good but of course there is a problem with that - the more you have the more you want and it's down to the front line to achieve it!! I am afraid as an employee, especially those unfortunate enough to be customer facing (the real workers) on the front line you don't count, just make sure you can sell and reach those targets - or else!!! The fact that you deliver the best customer service is irrelevant!

Pros

If you're in serious need of income, the base pay will help you pay your bills at the least.

Cons

Complete dishonestly with customers about products they most often dont need if they have car insurance. Cars are barely up to safety code. Managers are more concerned about revenue that customers safety in vehicles. Bare minimum training. If you're naturally deceptive and lazy, you will fit in perfect with the company. Tell customers and auto body shops several lies a day regarding car availability and cost of car rentals. Most branch managers are over worked and are on somw type of medication to keep them moving.

"Do more with less" / blood from a stone Continuous threats from upper management Borderline dishonest or unethical business practices No input from store management on decisions or changes Job slashers Bought a company and promptly disregarded their ideas and leadership "Good ole boys" atmosphere Unprofessional and disrespectful language and tone from Sr leadership on company or region wide calls More conference calls than you can ever imagine Little to no autonomy at Area/general manager level
