Pros

i would not wish this job on my worst enemy

Cons

unrealistic expectations, management does not like to be bothered, bonuses are no longer available until you're a manager so don't let the job description mislead you, very long hours, constantly understaffed, cleaning cars in dress clothes, questionable cars are rented everyday (be careful with every one way you rent), team players in this business are a rarity, other branches are more important than others and that goes for the staff too. The only way to get promoted is if you are making sales - which is fair, but it opens the door for unqualified people to run a branch.

Pros

work from your own home

Cons

Strict schedule, no flexibility. If you were late from break by one minute or more you were written up immediately. Sales commission structure changed making it impossible to make commission only so they could save money. Terrible pay $11/hr. Terrible inflexible schedule that had to be adhered to every day, work every single weekend. If you worked from home you were not allowed, seriously allowed to attend corporate functions and events because you were not technically considered a corporate employee although you work directly and are paid directly by hertz. terrible.

Pros

Flexible hours when you get to AM, company car.

Cons

Very much a corporate America career. Hourly employees will have to work 10-15 hours of overtime just to make decent pay for an entry level position. The salary for management is not as high as it should be but is supposed to be made up by a company car, insurance, and “bonus.” Bonuses typically are months late and are barely rewarding at all. Furthermore, if you make a mistake, Hertz will screw you as much as they possibly can, no matter how long you were an employee there.
