Terrible Job

Pros

You can make good money if you're good at selling

Cons

-Not having a car, I would have to take public transportation, often 1.5-2 hrs each way to some of the events, which would make my work day 12 hours. -Terrible work-life balance; your boss thinks he can call you any day of the week, and the biweekly mandatory meetings suck if that's your day off (Monday and Wednesday) and are pointless to begin with (management just goes over the same things every week and spends an hour doing "ice-breaker" activities) -You have to bring a table, box with promotional material, and banner to events, and if you're like me who uses public transportation it sucks so much carrying all of that stuff around. -They put you at places like a local mall, because HelloFresh corporate has a deal with a bunch of nationwide mall chains for us to sell there. Malls notoriously suck. People who go to malls in general are far from our target market (i.e. don't speak english, don't have much money, under 18). And yet if you ever complain about your boss will hit you with a "malls are what we make of them" and "I once made 12 sales a week at just mall events." Same concept with gyms; people in general see us monthly and know our pitch. -They recently instituted a new wage and commission format, where basically you take a pay-cut if you aren't making more than 10 sales per week, which most people in our office weren't making. Me and a couple other employees quit because of it. -The turnover is insane. I've worked in restaurants with better turnover. The longest employee (besides our manager) was there only like 6 months, and he quit the week before I did. There were weeks where we would get literally 6 or 7 new employees and none would make it through the week. People don't like working here and it shows.

Pros

Good level of autonomy , with responsibilities from day 1. An environment where you are able to make an impact on the business as long as initiatives are data-driven. Good training focused on staff members which shows that the company really values its employees.

Cons

Sometimes a lack of structure. Communication between departments can occasionally be improved.

Pros

A good team with positive energy & good support.

Cons

It's very difficult to predict your hours for the next week. Many days include lots of driving, back to back events, & is a lot of nights & mostly weekends. They were not upfront with the typical schedule in the interview saying only a few nights & weekends... this was not at all true. There were a lot of communication issues in the office, multiple weekly sales meetings that would be on people's "days off" & we were expected to use our personal phones to sign up potential costumers, which felt very unprofessional. The work life balance is almost non-existent in this job. If you're going to put in these kinds of hours, there are much better paying jobs.
