Pros

Fun environment and great people to work with.

Cons

Horrible scheduling and hours were not guaranteed. Direct sales in places where people cannot afford the product with the expectation to sell when the customers literally cannot afford the subscription.

It’s excellent to see that you’re enjoying the fun environment at HelloFresh and working with your teammates on the sales team. Our Brand Ambassadors are the face and voice of HelloFresh to our customers and we care a lot about your experience as part of the FreshFam. While we try to release schedules with as much notice as possible, due to the nature of scheduling events, there can be last minute changes to add more hours to each employee’s schedule. Our sales managers to strive to share the available shifts evenly throughout the sales teams, dependent on one’s availability and preferences. We try out new events and locations all the time to see if they would be a good fit for sales, however, not all locations are a match and we use this data to make scheduling choices in the future. We try at as best we can to ensure all Brand Ambassadors are scheduled 40 hours of work per week, unfortunately there are times where this is not possible based on the availability of events. Thank you again for this feedback. We always appreciate hearing from members of the FreshFam while we strive to make HelloFresh the best place it can be for our team.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this feedback on your experience at HelloFresh. We take feedback and the experience of our employees seriously and it is important to us that all team members have a positive experience while part of the FreshFam. We have recently developed a Manager Learning Journey for our managers to develop their skills. There are nearly 50 managers across our company participating in the cohorts, and the development of the curriculum, which includes trainings on hiring, coaching and managing difficult conversations, was a direct response to feedback just like yours. We are also improving the quality of training available to Brand Ambassadors with the use of our learning management system and video and in-person training. We also have a growing tech team that is developing ways to make the user experience even better for our customers, including when they sign up for our product with Brand Ambassadors. Occasionally they will leave food out so you can get free meals for later Testing new ideas for recipes often leads to CS being able to bring meals home to make and report back on Nice employee discount

The work is relentless and thankless, not just on the customer end, but on the employer end Their immediate response to what they perceive as problems is to get more reports which customer care agents have to complete after every call and email and somehow keep their numbers up Advancement too tied to optional feedback from customers that are only filled out when they're heated and upset, making promotion from CS near impossible Location means you're either taking public transit in, which is hard for some of us, or paying large amounts for parking, most of which the company will not help with. They tell us that we are not allowed to cherry-pick emails to respond to, but when you go to higher ups asking how you can do better in terms of customer satisfaction, they will tell you to cherry-pick, forcing you to balance keeping your job and actually getting halfway decent results for job longevity. You cannot trade shifts with someone working different hours for one day with prior request or notice from both of you, no matter the emergency. Management is very deflective of criticism, and will not report when another is doing anything wrong.

Our office is conveniently located in Newark, New Jersey and is a short walk from Newark Penn Station. We care a lot about developing our managers and currently all of our new managers, including managers from Customer Care, are participating in our Manager Learning Journey to grow their management skills. The opportunity for career growth is one of the things we strive to provide to our HelloFresh team members and we have developed a Career Ladder specifically to grow Customer Care Agents based on consistent high monthly performance and high quality customer interactions which is done in part by prioritizing each customer as they reach out. We also love to celebrate and appreciate our Customer Care teams: we have monthly Town Hall meetings to recognize our top performers and thank them not only with words, but with our actions, including hosting Customer Care Appreciation Week. Customer Care's attendance program allows for multiple options to cover any days when team members are unable to fulfill their schedule; it encourages the utilization of sick days, PTO and other leave in the case of an emergency. We take feedback seriously, and though we are sorry you are no longer employed with HelloFresh, we have shared this with your local HR representative.
