Pros

Small company and you can make a big impact without the needless bureaucracy of larger companies Opportunities to learn new technologies Opportunities to work with other A players Accountable culture Culture celebrates accomplishments of people and is transparent about decisions Culture ensures team members support decisions even when they don't agree with them Fully remote company, with ability to hire all over the place, ensures competition Pay/benefits are very competitive and company is willing to pay above market rate for good peopel

Cons

Can be harsh, high expectations, some good people have left due to the work/life balance issues As company is still scaling, there are some severe bottlenecks that hinder the product development process Specifically in QA/Design the support stifles the process. I've been able to jump in and help move the products along but there are clear gaps in these areas Also in the prioritization process, the urgency and timelines are tricky. Still figuring them out

Pros

Employer paid Health/Dental/Vision Work From Home Regular Sales Bonuses Random Sales Contests Health IQ is the first sales organization I’ve ever been where the sales metrics weren’t explicitly stated as their actual goal seems to be whats best for the customer and it actually isn’t just a PR line. I’ve been here since 4/20/21 so far the experience has been pleasant, I’m not sure what the disconnect was for those who didn’t share the experience. I mean its a sales job, reality is if you don’t sale you generally won’t make decent money. So far I’ve hit bonus every month since being on the sales floor and the pay is fairly consistent with what I made at other organizations being a top seller. Their Medicare Division is relatively new which means opportunity is there for growth and promotion.

Cons

The other-side of the coin for their Medicare Div being a relatively new is that some of the infrastructure really hasn’t been developed or integrated in the same sense that you see at many of the older organizations. The training was okay, but they didn’t really address some of the proprietary systems for their CRM based apps. Some of the leads can be on the rough end, coming from someone who in the past was primarily OB sales, but at the end of the day its not the lead that truly makes or decides what you end your daily count with its the agent. Contracting can take awhile, but thats partly on the carriers and the agents as most carriers have a 90 day self release period if the old agency won’t release.

Pros

Unlike any company I've worked for before. Celebrating each other's success is what this company is about and they genuinely care about their employees. All leads provided.

Cons

As with all sales jobs, there is a high turnover. If you are not willing to work hard then this is not a company for you.
