Pros

If you’re on a good desk and you’re any good at the job then there’s a huge earning potential and great promotional structure (although do be cautious of the sales environment selling you the world - there is a lot of small print you won’t be provided with). Awesome colleagues always keen to kick back and socialise makes for a pretty nice and modern working environment.

Cons

As with any sales environment, exceptional is never good enough and whilst you may be publicly rewarded you will get privately slandered on a regular basis. You go in expecting long hours and high targets in a fast-paced and stressful environment and this is no surprise (you’ll have considered whether you’re up to that side of the job when you applied) but what you can’t prepare for is the complete lack of emotional intelligence from management staff. A typical huge corporate company who have the inability to treat their staff as humans but instead as a mere number in their headcount. In the modern day where we are encouraged to be open and honest about feelings and struggles both in our personal and work lives, this topic of discussion will be ignored and sometimes even repelled by managers as your targets are far more important than your health (even if you’re smashing it at the same time). People being fired or resigning will be a weekly occurrence and no second thought will be given. And all the while they will portray a diverse and inclusive and forward-thinking image on social media.......Hays is an exact image of what is wrong with today’s society. It might look skinny, happy and well made-up from the outside but that’s just what they want you to see. Get to know them from the inside and you’ll find the loaded gun in the glove box for when it all gets too much.

Pros

You do get to go to events for free. The salary is so low you can't afford to do anything outside of work aside from free events provided.

Cons

Honestly...everything else except for free events you sometimes get to go to without the bullying.
