Pros

Wish I could list one..

Cons

Average pay for Long Hours, Expected to work 8-5:30 - staying until 8pm some nights " just because " and You are looked down on if you dont stay( my manager told me not to make plans as we had to stay back and dial canditates) - They said its training but they throw you on your own on the first day. They tell you that you are an EXPERT on your first day ( even tohugh you really have no idea and expected to act like you know more then the actual qualified people you talk to ) If teh candidate has an accent then the girls will gossip about that person .The horrible gossip and culture that surrounds this company is the reason I left and will never look through Hays for a job ever. Horribe office culture, The amount of FAKE jobs i created is crazy! Horrible place, horrible people. good luck to you if you decide to work here.

Pros

Some of the people I worked with were absolutely fantastic, and I have no idea why they've stayed with the company.

Cons

Might have just been the office I was in, but there was absolutely terrible recruiting management. Throw that in the mix with zero structure in their training program.. and it was just a mess. You're also pushed into an environment where you are expected to be dialing the phone all day with the goal of just pulling information out of candidates.. THIS IS WHY RECRUITERS GET A BAD REP. They are too metrics driven, and not focused on QUALITY (for both candidates and their own associates). They have an unrealistic approach to the industry for this day and age, and I realize now that's why they struggle so much. Work/life balance is awful, and you're essentially guilt-ed into staying late to hit a lofty metric that gets you nowhere because of their business process.

I am disappointed you did not have a better experience at Veredus. Technology staffing is not for everyone. I hope you have found your niche in the workforce.

Pros

The magic of this organisation lies within its people. If you want to be part of something bigger, if you are seeking out a career that allows you to reach your full potential than this is place for you. High energy, focused but fun environment for those that love to make a difference to the people they work with both internally and externally. Loads of training and support, career progression based on merit and performance and the opportunity to transform the success of companies and peoples lives...including your own!

Cons

You will encounter many challenges and experience failure on a regular basis. Your ability to learn from the setbacks, overcome adversity and stay the course will deliver rewards that most only dream of. To be successful, you will need to bring all your discipline, resilience, optimism and hard work to the table.
