Fun atmosphere, depending on management

Cons

Always temporary and competing for year round status. Upper management changes about every 2 years and every time it does all priorities change. High expectations for minimal pay and offen people in seasonal leadership roles aren't qualified for that kind of responsibility. Lots of drama!

Pros

Worked with helpful and friendly supervisors. The seasonal atmosphere was quick but fun. All workers from the security front desk, HR, supervisors in phone sales and out in the dock area were all friendly & helpful. Really enjoyed working for the company over the holiday season.

Cons

Once the holiday season is over, so is the job. Unfortunately PT work is not available over the holiday. Some days are less than 8 hours and others over 8...one never knows.

I have been working at Harry and David full-time for almost 14 years. Company has supportive environment, great work culture. Wide variety of experiences and chances to grow, as much as you can. It is very easy to progress and find you dream place in the IT department. The Christmas season bring many excitements and opportunities to offer the most of my help to the company and people in need. It is feels awesome to work with a talented team, surrounded by passionate people having hunger to learn and explore, and when projects get hard everyone is helpful and kind. • Motivates new talent and gives opportunity to learn. • Great mentors in the company to give a proper guidance in career progression. • Good compensation to people who are performing very well. Senior management is totally supportive and helps in all aspects.

Cons

Might have to work for another 14 years to find one.
