Pros

They have a relatively good benefits package. Receiving the benefits is another issue.

Cons

Very reactive company-waits for the market to make a move and sees how it pans out before taking any sort of stance much less action. Systems are archaic and takes forever to have any sort of enhancement implemented. If the enhancement is area specific just forget it, it will never get done and your systems ticket will be cancelled. The only reason I gave them a one is because 0 and negative numbers are not a viable rating with this program. Senior Management team used to be good but has gotten worse over the years. If you do not mind working 24/7 and being told that you cannot take vacation, go for it. However if there is ever another instance where the US market is suffering don’t be surprised that one of their first solutions is to ask the employees to take a pay cut. If you are masochistic, this is an excellent place to work, otherwise do yourself a favor and look somewhere else-anywhere else. Stay far away from Hapag Lloyd.

TOXIC AND NEGATIVE PEOPLE

Pros

Nothing is worth telling anyone. No Pros , only Cons.

Cons

I had joined the company thinking that i would progress. My manager did not help me and gave me work that was not completely not my forte. Only certain duties were given to me. My colleagues who trained me wen through the procedure so fast that i had to learn the system on my own. The team was very rude and truly sad that there are people in companies who cant even help their colleagues. It is truly a shame that companies are recruiting certain kind of employees. The other job tasks for which they had hired me were not given to me. I asked the reason why this is happening and my manager advised that I will have to continue with what i am doing. After six months, i again asked and still they kept me in the same place. No sympathy or value for an employee. I wanted to give feedback to their human resources department, but i got the body language that all the managers were involved in such kind of office politics. I then decided that the best thing would be to look out for a new job and move out from here. I was persistent and made up my mind and finally i got a break from such negative people. I am happy to be out and would highly advise people not to go there. A quotation which is apt for this company is "All that glitters is not gold". Dont be cautious, be extra cautious and avoid the mental torture and negative people that you have to go through. Trying to save as many people as possible.
