Pros

The staff in stores are great. The live the company values and work really hard. However it only goes as far as the stores. As soon as you get to the area team it's just a clique of bullies that have no idea what's going on.

Cons

I have worked for this company for over two years. Despite the sales advisors wage increases to national living wage as management Not once have we been able to negotiate our salarys or have a pay rise. Not even inline with inflation. There are sales advisor responsible that make more money than managers. We don't get paid over time yet are still expected to work over our contracted hours. The area team treat the management instore like criminals and are constantly using feedback as a beating stick to bully and attack anyone who doesn't agree with them or challenges them And when you do do something right it's usually not even acknowledged. They think they can do as they please and blatantly favourtise and discriminate against stores and staff in those stores. the area team do not in anyway behave in a professional manner or act inline with the company polices or with any form of integrity.

Pros

4+Weeks of Vacation, Opportunity to transfer all over the country, Good Benefits, Great Pay

Cons

Trying to Run a H&M the size of 1/2 a Macy's on the budgeted hours of a Journeys shoe store. When you don't produce the unrealistic results that are expected by the District team with the extremely little hours provided, then you aren't "being efficient enough". People are promoted by favoritism in the district. The customers are extremely rude, ignorant and aggressive. The company tries to force/convince you that this is a great place to work by taking "great place to work surveys" and then acts surprised when they don't come back good. Then blames management. (If this was such a "great place to work" then you shouldn't have to constantly try to convince everyone? Right!?) Your chances of becoming a District Manager are next to impossible unless you either know someone or are from a foreign country preferably Sweden. The holidays are literal HELL in every sense of the word. Monster pushes of shipment to fill the sales floor. No Extra hours to clean the store or process shipment/place it to the floor. Constant petty customer complaints. Extremely aggressive customers. Everything falls apart and it will literally ruin your holiday season 100% If you love feeling defeated, unaccomplished and exhausted every day when you leave work to the point where you want to cry or kill yourself then this is the perfect job for you!!!!!

Pros

Flexible work hours Discounts Other engineers are nice

Cons

Most managers are incompetent but still arrogant Toxic work culture, they bully you and blame you instead of addressing their own mistakes Bad pay Terrible tech org structure Too many legacy systems Poor communication in management Say they are open minded and embrace diversity in opinions but get defensive and shut you down if you question anything
