Pros

Great energy, great campaigns, great cause... Bringing awareness about great issues that affect us all, and our children is quite satisfying.

Cons

Too much idealism, not enough balance, immaturity is rampant, favorites are clearly chosen, watch your back: it will get stabbed!!!

Pros

-Great cause - Fun job if you are an extrovert, and love talking with people, AND can take rejection with a grain of salt - meet interesting and intelligent people - opportunities to travel - Management is VERY flexible and accomodating, - after 3 months of full time, FULL BENEFITS!!! med/dental/vision

Cons

- Sometimes it feels GP wastes too much time attempting to change laws, instead of pressuring corporations which is actually succeeds at - Low pay considering the job requirements (because GP is a non-profit) - high turnover rate with entry level and management, this creates a lot of waste for the org - if you dont have the right sales oriented, rejection proof personality, THIS IS NOT THE JOB FOR YOU

Pros

You can feel good about the goals of the job you are doing the company you work for because they are really doing important work.

Cons

There are so many downsides to this job, it's unbelievable. They management is hit or miss at best, and crud still runs downhill. Constant verbal abuse, but their mental health care plan sort of makes up for all the hours you're going to spend in therapy. They show no loyalty to the employees - even after a year of working there, if you miss quota three weeks running, you are immediately let go.
