      Good company going through a hard time

      Pros

      Goodwill of North GA is a good company to work for. The managers are understanding and support thier staff to the best of thier ability. The managers are also ways available if you need anything but they do not micromanage. Employees are valued and often asked for advise on how to improve. Goodwill of North Georgia really cares about their clients and thier mission.

      Cons

      Goodwill of North GA does not pay employees as much as they should do it is being a nonprofit. It is also currenlty going through a restructing and had to lay people off with the hopes of rehiring them soon.

      Pros

      People are nice in general. Insurance is ok. Better than none.

      Cons

      If you work in the back on evenings you're usually alone. If donations come in, even if it's a huge couch, you have to unload it alone.

      Pros

      Goodwill has excellent insurance, it is probably the single best thing about working there. They have everything from short and long term disability to dental and medical all for $22 a week.

      Cons

      Pay is not that great. Goodwill treats their employees as second class citizens with little regard for their well being. I work in transportation where employees are treated as theives and liars. Its truely amazing.
