Pros

It's a lot of busy work and will certainly keep you on your toes. A very good way to learn nontraditional retail and to really multitask.

Cons

It can be a rough place if looking for benefits and any sort of promotion. Not much to say about pay either, as it deals a lot with charity and will usually keep wages to a minimum if possible.

Pros

The best thing about working at Goodwill was getting to know some of the customers. The majority were a delight, and stopped by often to chat for a moment while shopping.

Cons

Extremely low pay, almost no demonstration of appreciation for hard work--just a MORE MORE MORE! attitude, poor working conditions bordering on dangerous in many cases, the expectation of employees to meet unattainable goals with staff shortages and lack of resources needed to do the job, lack of or conflicting direction from upper-management, hiring more from outside than promoting within, etc.
