Pros

Helping people (at least trying to)

Cons

Worked here as a BD for 6 months. While the work was full filling and folks on my team were great, management treated the human aspect of this role (helping unhoused folks find good jobs) like we were selling things. She frequently told me to "trim the fat" meaning removing folks who were not finding jobs quickly enough. Grant requirements dictated some of this, but the overall attitude from management surrounding the work made me uncomfortable.

Pros

It gives second chance employment for those with less than sparking backgrounds and special needs

Cons

▪︎It's a greedy and misleading company in whole. The quotas that are humanly impossible. Even the long standing employees (17yrs) doesn't make the quota. ▪︎The manager at the one I worked at lied all the time to the employees and didn't take accountability for any of her mistakes. ▪︎ All the donations are priced by employees with no real training on quality, value or market price of things and the prices are decided willingly so the same two things can be priced totally different. ▪︎The benefits for suck, I was paying $300+ biweekly and it hardly covered meds. ▪︎ The training style reminds me of my dad... Non existent.
